BATMAN BEYOND: NEO-YEAR - Written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly with art from Max Dunbar

Terry McGinnis is back in the new series centered around Futures End’s own Dark Knight ! In a dangerous state of anger, Neo-Gotham’s population brutally kill Bruce Wayne. The city rejects Terry McGinnis as Batman and gives him the opportunity to run away, which he doesn’t. Against a bloodthirsty city and new antagonistic forces, the futuristic Batman is living his first year as a dark knight without the help of Wayne. Will he survive this ultimate trial? The starstrucking writing duo of Lanzing and Kelly promise an interesting new series that comic fans of all demographics are gonna love!

THE SANDMAN UNIVERSE: NIGHTMARE COUNTRY #1 - Written by James Tynion IV with art from Lisandro Estherren and Yanick Paquette

TWIG #1 - Written by Scottie Young with art from Kyle Strahm

In a world strongly inspired by The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and Jeff Smith’s Bone, follow the adventures of Twig, a blue and hairy little creature starting a new job as an explorer. Watch him as he discovers the unknown in this surprisingly dark new series written by the author of Middlewest and I Hate Fairyland. We absolutely can’t wait for this one.

MANGA

FRIEREN VOLUMES 1 & 2 - Written by Kanehito Yamasa with art from Tsukasa Aba

This is a story that begins with the end of another. Having defeated the great Demon King, Frieren and her jolly band of adventurers have achieved the greatest feat anyone can. It is now time for the team to disband and live calmer lives. One problem: Frieren is an immortal elf, which means all her friends will die prior to her. Here begins a fantasy filled psychological journey ridden with plot twists Also available in English : Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, published by VIZ.

LES AFFAMÉS VOLUME 1 - Written and drawn by Kunitaro Tomoyasu

What happens when a human turned zombie keeps his intelligence and emotions? It is the leading question behind Les Affamés, a new adventure-horror manga published at Akata. No English translation was announced thus far.

EUROPEAN

JAZZMAN - Written and drawn by Jop

Under the tyrannic rule of Tony Scrump, a city finds itself utterly mesmerized by the words of the fraudulous mayor. Everyone, except a certain atypical trio grouping an amnesic bar tender, a suicidal saxophonist and a geek teenager. Together, they will wake the people up with swings, doo-wops, and the ultimate power of jazz! A first story for Jop, unknown French artist. No English translation was announced thus far.

QUEBEC

HARLEM VOLUME 1 - Written and drawn by Mikael

Mikael, one of Quebec’s important comic writers of the last few years, is back to tell the story of Stéphanie St-Clair, an enigmatic and intimidating woman, whose trying to make her place in Harlem, New York City neighbourhood. Menaced by the 1930s mob and clandestine activities, will she achieve what she came there to do? No English translation was announced thus far.

SPY X FAMILY - Season 1

The action comedy inspired by Tatsuya Endo’s manga is coming to Crunchyroll. The anime is produced by Wit Studo, which made the first three seasons of the fantastic Attack on Titan. This is one you don’ t want to miss!

MOON KNIGHT - Season 1

The new TV series of the MCU is here, and new episodes will be streaming every week in April exclusively on Disney+. Starring Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke, Moon Knight tells the story of a man with multiple personalities who becomes a surnatural being after meeting Konshu, an Egyptian god of the Moon. Blending super-heroism with mental illness, Moon Knight has great potential to be a good part of the fourth Phase. Don’t know this character and wanna know more about him? No problem! The excellent runs by Jed MacKay, Jeff Lemire and Brian Michael Bendis collected in trade paperback format are in stock here at Z Bookstore. Little Marvel gems! But donèt ask what Christian thought of it...
