DICTIONNAIRE AMOUREUX DE TINTIN
Since childhood, the adventures of Tintin have not ceased to accompany me. I read them in turn with my eyes as a child, adolescent and adult (or what looks like an adult). What has always charmed me at Tintin is his freedom: without parents, without children, without betrothed, without age ... I have also liked his companions, all cracked ... Haddock the angry with a big heart, Sunflower the funky monster, the Dupondt, the Castafiore, Snowy, and all the others ... When I was asked to write a dictionary in love with Tintin, I confess, I hesitated. The literature around Hergé's work is considerable today, in keeping with the success of Tintin and its 250 million albums sold worldwide. In spite of everything, I started to realize that it was this work like Russian dolls, which dismissed one after the other, would always reveal a unsuspecting Matriochka, which itself would reveal another more surprising... My aim, combining erudition and fantasy, personal memories and references to the collective imagination, is to interest the reader who does not know Tintin well, Those who appreciate it. As for the Tintinophiles, I count - vanity - to surprise them also by showing them unsuspected facets of the work of one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century.
