Zone Z Sound Studio - Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

• All bookings must be made in advance through our website, in person, or via phone/email.
• A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation.
• The remaining balance must be paid before the session begins.
• Accepted payment methods: credit card, debit card, e-transfer, or cash.
• Minimum booking duration: 1 hour, except for podcasts and voice overs. Additional time billed in 30-minute increments.
• Sessions start at the booked time and will not be extended for late arrivals.

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance will receive a full refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the session will forfeit the deposit.
• No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the session will be charged the full booking fee.
• Rescheduling is permitted once per booking, with at least 24 hours' notice.

3. Studio Usage Guidelines

• The studio is strictly for audio recording and related activities. Misuse will result in termination of the session without a refund.
• Maximum occupancy per session depends on booking type (e.g., up to 3 people for small podcast recordings).
• Clients must handle equipment with care. Any damage due to negligence will be charged at replacement/repair cost.
• No food or beverages near the equipment.
• Smoking, vaping, and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
• Clients must leave the studio clean and return it to its original state.

4. Technical Support and Engineer Services

• A studio engineer is available to assist with setup and recording.
• Clients are responsible for backing up their recordings before leaving.
• Zone Z is not responsible for lost or corrupted files after client transfer.

5. Intellectual Property and Recording Rights

• Clients retain full ownership of their recordings.
• Zone Z may use short excerpts (max 30 seconds) for promotional purposes only with client permission.
• Unauthorized recording of copyrighted material is prohibited.

6. Liability and Indemnification

• Zone Z is not responsible for injuries, lost/stolen items, or technical failures.
• Clients agree to indemnify and hold Zone Z harmless from any claims, damages, or legal disputes.
• Illegal activity within the studio will be reported to authorities.

7. Equipment and Property Damage

• Clients must report malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Clients are responsible for any damage caused by negligence.
• Intentional damage results in immediate termination and a ban from future bookings.

8. Confidentiality and Privacy

• All sessions are treated with strict confidentiality.
• Common areas may have video surveillance, but not recording booths.

9. Additional Fees

• Overtime is charged at the standard hourly rate, rounded up to the nearest 30 minutes.
• A cleaning fee of $150 will be applied if the studio is left in an unsanitary condition.
• Editing, mixing, and mastering services are charged separately.

10. Acceptance of Terms

• By booking a session, clients agree to abide by these terms.
• Zone Z reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.
