Chase editions are highly desirable, somewhat limited editions of Funko Pop! figures, usually (but not always) made from the same molds, packaged in the same boxes, with the same box numbers, but in different colours or finishes, such as metallic or glow in the dark. They used to be one of twelve or one of thirty six but Funko has recently gone to releasing more chases than they had in the past, making a chase for nearly every new series and cutting the rarity down to 1:6, making them much easier to find. Funko is introducing their latest line of exclusives – the Specialty Series. Every month, they will be announcing two major exclusives – one Pop! Vinyl and one Dorbz – that can be acquired through the Specialty Series. Why is it so special? You’ll only be able to find these Specialty Series exclusives in boutique retail, specialty stores, local comic book shops and from qualified online retailers.
PX is for "Previews" Exclusive. It's a retail catalog published by Diamond Comics Distribution for comic book shops to order their stuff through. Anything with a PX Exclusive sticker is something you can find at a local comic book shop and not at another retail chain like Wal-Mart, Target, or Hot Topic. They have an extensive deal with Funko for the creation of speciality oriented Funko Pop vinyl figurines.
